Gone West: Henry “Hank” Edmond Styne

Hank Styne went West March 9, 2011. Born February 5, 1932 in Illinois, he was another of our members who always was interested in Aviation. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Later he worked as an aeronautical engineer with L.T.V. Chance Vought. He was a Life Member of the VFW, member of the EAA and the Texas Chapter Antique Airplane Association. Hank had a small airstrip and hangar near Grandview where you would often find Chuck Jackson of Mansfield and Revis “Hank” Henry of Irving swapping lies and working on old airplanes. Interment was in the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery and left behind his Wife of 43 years, Mary Ellen. He has gone on to join those other friends of Aviation and await those who will follow.
